Suquet Fish Campaign in Roses
The port of Roses has a long fishing tradition and is the main fishing port on the Costa Brava, supplying daily with fresh fish, shellfish and molluscs, fundamental elements of its famous gastronomic offer. Throughout the year, except for the closed season, generally on Fridays, guided visits are made to the port and to the fish market.
At the end of October, a new edition of the Suquet de Peix gastronomic days is held, which is the most emblematic and traditional dish of Roses, although it allows many and diverse interpretations, reflected in the succulent menus offered by the participating restaurants.
When autumn already invites us to eat hot, many restaurants offer fixed-price menus, each one with its own version of suquet. Meals that, by themselves, justify traveling to Roses to enjoy a memorable day with family or friends.
