Living history of the Atarazanas at the Maritime Museum of Barcelona
Organized by: Museu Marítim de Barcelona
Barcelona is today a city open to the sea, and the Royal Shipyards building bears witness to this connection. In fact, the building dates back to the 13th century and has evolved to the present day, transforming architecturally according to the uses it has had to accommodate throughout eight centuries of history.
We invite you to discover the evolution of this jewel of civil architecture, home to the Barcelona Maritime Museum since 1941, through an architectural, historical and social perspective, guided by El Globus Vermell, a cultural association driven primarily by architects with the aim of fostering a critical and demanding citizenry.
- Dates: third Sunday of the month.
- Time: 11:00 a.m.
- Duration: 90 minutes.
- Price: €6.50 per person.
The guided tour "Living History of the Royal Shipyards" is part of the program "Royal Shipyards: stones that explain Barcelona", developed by the MMB within the framework of the designation of Barcelona as World Capital of Architecture 2026 by UNESCO-UIA.
