Sallent Main Festival

Sallent celebrates its Fiesta Mayor with activities that will fill streets, squares and facilities with music, popular culture, sports, family activities and shows for all ages.

The festivities will begin with one of the most characteristic moments on the local calendar: the ringing of the bells and the opening parade, announcing the arrival of the main celebrations. The opening proclamation will kick off a packed program combining tradition and entertainment at various locations throughout the town.

Popular culture will play a prominent role with giants, dwarfs, human towers, sardanas (traditional Catalan dances), and street parades, alongside events related to Catalonia's National Day. There will also be opportunities to discover Sallent's heritage through guided tours and cultural activities.

Families will find refreshing activities, children's shows, and recreational options, while sports will be on offer with basketball, soccer, and pétanque tournaments. Evenings and nights will be filled with concerts, dancing, DJ sets, and other entertainment, allowing the party to continue well into the early hours.

The Fiesta Mayor will also include spaces for habanera music, exhibitions, and more traditional activities. The fireworks display will bring to a close several days designed for enjoying the streets and the festivities in Sallent.
