Festival of the Segar and the Batre de Cornet (Sallent)

Cornet (Sallent) will once again celebrate its agricultural past with a new edition of the Harvesting and Threshing Festival, a day dedicated to recovering traditional farm work and keeping the memory of the peasantry alive.

The celebration will begin with a demonstration of traditional reaping and threshing, revealing how grain was harvested and processed before agricultural mechanization. This historical demonstration will recall the effort, tools, and knowledge of generations whose lives were intertwined with the land.

Popular culture will continue to take center stage with a sardana performance by the Colla de Dansaires Sallentins, inviting the public to enjoy one of the most representative expressions of Catalan tradition.

In the evening, the festivities will continue with a concert and traditional dances performed by Berguedana de Folklore Total. This musical program is designed for people of all ages to enjoy, participate, and share a moment of dancing and a pleasant atmosphere.

Throughout the day, there will be a bar and snacks available for dinner, allowing attendees to extend their evening. The "Reapers' Basket" raffle will also take place, adding another attraction to the festivities.

A gathering to pay tribute to the peasantry, discover the old trades of the countryside and share music, dance and tradition in a rural environment full of history.
