Reception of the Flame of Canigou of Saint John in Masllorenç

Masllorenç is preparing to experience one of the most symbolic events of the eve of Saint John with the traditional reception of the Flame of Canigó, a celebration that unites popular culture, identity and community spirit.

The gathering will take place on the terrace of the Café de Masllorenç, which will become the meeting point for residents and visitors to share in the arrival of this fire, steeped in history and meaning. The event will include the reading of the Canigó Flame Manifesto, a text that accompanies the fire's journey each year and conveys a message of brotherhood, cohesion, and appreciation for the shared language and culture.

Each year, the Flame is renewed at the summit of Canigó and distributed to numerous towns, where it is used to light the bonfires of Sant Joan.
