Spring Fair of Martorell
The Spring Fair is one of the most important patrimonial festivities of the Martorell festive calendar.
It was founded in 1422, when Queen María, wife of Alfonso El Magnánimo, granted the privilege of holding a Fair in Martorell to take place on Saint Mark's Day, on April 25, and to extend it for the next four days.
The Fair, which in the past was livestock and agricultural, has been transformed over the centuries. In recent times, it also becomes a display of craftsmanship in La Vila. The majority of activities are concentrated in the Ca n'Oliveras site.
