EXPOCÍTRIC Alcanar - European Citrus Capital

Alcanar will become the nerve center of European citrus farming with the celebration of EXPOCÍTRICO, a new trade fair that aims to showcase the tradition, innovation, and sustainability of the region's citrus sector. Organized by the Alcanar Town Council, in collaboration with Grup Àpat and SUD Gastronòmic, the event will bring together 45 exhibitors related to the agri-food and gastronomic world, offering visitors an experience full of flavor, technology, and a great atmosphere.

Expocítric returns with the aim of continuing to showcase one of the municipality's most representative sectors. Oranges, tangerines, and other local citrus fruits will be the stars of a weekend that combines gastronomy, educational content, and activities designed for diverse audiences.

The fair will bring together producers, agri-food companies, artisans, and initiatives linked to the citrus sector, offering a great opportunity to discover products, learn about the work of farmers, and experience the agricultural reality of the region firsthand. The program will also include tastings, live cooking demonstrations, and various culinary offerings featuring local produce.

This year, Expocítric will broaden its scope with a greater connection to the Municipal Market and local businesses, incorporating preliminary activities aimed at strengthening the links between agriculture, economic activity, and gastronomy.

In addition, in the days leading up to the fair, technical conferences will be held focusing on the present and future of the citrus sector.
