Categorized Pla d'Urgell 2024

With the motto "100km, 18 towns, 1 region" the CatiGat is a cycling march through the Pla d'Urgell region. A popular non-competitive mountain bike ride.

Its spirit is to make the entire Pla d'Urgell region known, with a route that passes through all the towns and centers of the region.

This year it will depart from El Palau de Anglesola. That is, in the middle of the region. An ancient village welcomes you, from the old Mascançà, arid and difficult lands, filled with more reeds than inhabitants.

A town that is a crossroads: the Sant Jaume road, the Ignatian road, cami.cat, InterCatalunya, canal benches and, obviously, the emblematic CatiGat!

At the Anglesola Palace you can visit the church of Sant Joan Baptista, the best baroque work on the plain. Let yourself be surprised by the restaurants, where you can try the casserole, snails, orejitas... or go buy good wine in bulk at the Sant Roc cooperative, a modernist winery by Cèsar Martinell. And look at the squares, parks and gardens, which allow it to be the only Villa Florida in the region. In September the PlaymoPalau is held, a renowned click fair and in November we are a cheese showcase, with the Ponent Artisan Cheese Show.
