Aloja - Banyoles Medieval Fantasy Fair

A new edition of Aloja, Banyoles ' Medieval Fantasy Fair, is coming!

Aloja is Banyoles' medieval and fantasy fair. With a strong focus on children, Aloja aims to showcase the city's medieval origins and its long and legendary history, featuring numerous local legends passed down orally from elders to grandchildren.

The main square, the city walls, the Monastery of Sant Esteve, and various streets of the old town will become the grand stage for the fair. Knights, ladies, fantastical creatures, musicians, and other characters will appear along the route, creating an atmosphere that invites visitors to let themselves go and discover Banyoles in a unique way.

The medieval market will feature stalls selling crafts and local products, while shows and parades will bring music, movement, and entertainment to the streets. There will also be plenty of interactive activities, with workshops and adventures where visitors can try archery, soft combat, and various medieval-inspired games.

Children will have specially designed areas with games, attractions, and experiences tailored to the little ones. When night falls, fire and legendary creatures will add an even more magical touch to the atmosphere.

The fair will also offer a glimpse into the history and heritage of Banyoles through exhibitions, tours, and other cultural activities. And to complete the experience, taverns and culinary offerings will provide a welcome break between adventures.
