Discover the mouth of the Foix River: a guided tour to reconnect with nature in Cubelles!

On Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Cubelles invites you to participate in a guided tour of one of its most emblematic natural areas: the mouth of the Foix River. A unique opportunity to get up close to an environment of high ecological value that, over the years, has become a refuge for wildlife, a green lung for the municipality, and a key space for understanding Mediterranean dynamics.

The activity consists of a walk along the riverbanks and the area near the mouth, with several interpretive stops. During the walk, the characteristics of the ecosystem, the importance of the area's biodiversity, and the environmental restoration efforts undertaken in recent years will be explained.

One of the highlights of the visit will be observing the effects of the DANA storm last July on the area. The changes to the landscape will be analyzed, as well as how they have affected the flora and fauna, and what measures are being considered to ensure the resilience of this natural space against future extreme weather events. It will be an opportunity to reflect on environmental management and the future of such a fragile yet vital ecosystem.

This activity is free and open to adults and children aged 8 and over. Places are limited and prior registration is required. The meeting point will be the beach's tourist information center. Comfortable shoes and water are recommended to fully enjoy the outing.
