Bossòst Livestock Fair
Bossòst celebrates another edition of its Livestock Fair, an autumn event that highlights livestock farming, mountain traditions, and local products. Throughout the day, various locations in the town will host activities designed to introduce the public to the world of livestock farming and allow them to enjoy the festive atmosphere of the Val d'Aran.
The morning will begin with the arrival of the livestock at the fairgrounds, one of the most characteristic sights of the day. The program will continue with a communal lunch and various educational activities to learn more about livestock farming in the Aran Valley, its history, and its traditional relationship with the mountain landscape.
Popular culture will also play a prominent role, with traditional Aranese dances and performances adding music and movement to the festivities. Throughout the day, visitors can stroll through the Autumn Market, featuring stalls and products related to this time of year and the region.
In the afternoon, the celebration will take on a more family-friendly atmosphere with chestnut roasting, hot chocolate, mulled wine, and other culinary offerings, accompanied by theatrical storytelling and mystery activities designed for participation and fun. The streets of Bossòst will thus become the stage for small challenges and surprises.
When night falls, the music will take over with dancing and a festive session, extending the celebration well into the early hours of the morning.
The Bossòst Livestock Fair is a great opportunity to discover the Aran Valley livestock traditions and enjoy a day that combines heritage, gastronomy, market, popular culture and autumn activities.
