La Bisbal d'Empordà is recognized as one of Catalonia's main centers of ceramic production, with a long tradition dating back centuries. For this reason, La Bisbal's ceramics have been declared a Singular Craft of Catalonia, a recognition that highlights the excellence and uniqueness of this know-how. Furthermore, the city has received the Craft City designation from the World Craft Council, thus consolidating its international prestige within the world of crafts.

In this context, ARTESANA was born, a market fair that has become a benchmark event in the Catalan artisan sector. This initiative offers a meeting place for creators and the public, highlighting the quality, authenticity, and creativity of handcrafted products. Artisans from across the region and even from beyond participate, presenting handmade pieces with a strong, distinctive character.
