Vilanova d'Escornalbou is a town with a long agricultural tradition located in a privileged area of mountains, forests and villages that make it a calm and quiet place close to nature. Halfway between the Pradell-L'Argentera and Llaberia mountain ranges, the town enjoys a magnificent environment for outings, since part of the municipal district is classified as a Natura 2000 Network.
The municipality is made up of two population centers: Vilanova d'Escornalbou and L'Arbocet, which was integrated into the term in the 19th century. Both one and the other have some buildings and places of great heritage value, such as the Castellet area in Vilanova; or the defense towers of L'Arbocet.
