Alcarràs Winter Festival

The main winter festival of Alcarràs is celebrated in honor of Saint Sebastian on January 20th.

For several days, the village will become a festive meeting point where music, tradition, culture, sport and family activities will coexist, reaffirming the participatory and open nature of the celebration.

The festivities begin two days earlier with the housewives gathering to prepare the traditional dish, the "mandongo," for the entire village. The first day is dedicated to the Pig Slaughter Festival, and sandwiches are distributed to everyone.

Music will play a prominent role in the program, with concerts and DJ sets filling the nights with energy and rhythm. Live performances and DJ sets will offer meeting places for young and adult audiences, solidifying the Winter Festival as a key musical event in the region.

The program is rounded out with a diverse offering that includes performing arts shows, comedy and improvisation performances, activities linked to local heritage, and traditional practices that connect with the town's origins. Family shows also guarantee a strong presence for children, with productions designed to stimulate their imagination and encourage shared enjoyment.
