Major Festival of Santa Anna de L'Estartit
L'Estartit is preparing to experience the Santa Anna Festival, a celebration full of music, tradition and popular atmosphere that will invite residents and visitors to enjoy a few days of festivities in the heart of the municipality.
The program will begin with the Santa Anna Youth Festival, an event designed to kick things off with energy and a great atmosphere. The celebration will start with the Trojan Horse parade, which will depart from the port and end at Plaça de la Llevantina, and will continue with DJ sets to keep the party going all night long, filling the space with music, rhythm, and festivities.
Traditional music will also play a prominent role with the habanera concert organized by the Penya Barcelonista Montgrí i Comarca. It's the perfect evening to enjoy seaside melodies, the Mediterranean atmosphere, and the proximity of a plaza that will become a meeting point for sharing a special night.
The most traditional events will begin with Mass at the Church of Santa Anna, accompanied by the Cobla del Fomento del Montgrí and Les Veus de l'Estartit, in a moving moment deeply rooted in the celebration. Following this, sardana dances will fill the church square with music and dance, keeping alive one of the most beloved expressions of Catalan popular culture.
The festival will also offer activities for families, such as the Montecarlo concert for children, designed so that even the youngest members of the family can enjoy the music and festive atmosphere. In the evening, the same band will bring the festivities to a close with a concert and dance, the perfect way to end the celebration with joy and a desire to dance.
