Guided tours in Vilanova de la Muga

Discover, among others, one of the most emblematic Romanesque corners of the Costa Brava and the Girona Pyrenees through guided tours!

We propose a tourist route through the rich archaeological, historical and artistic heritage of the Church of Santa Eulalia de Vilanova de la Muga ( Peralada ) to discover what is hidden behind this monumental complex.

Inside, the Romanesque mural paintings of the central nave will be revealed, with the Pantocrator and images of the tetramorph and two scenes from the life of Jesus.

In recent years (2018-2019) restoration work has been carried out that has made it possible to find mural paintings, probably from the 17th century, of which there was no record, of which the discovery of the image of Santa Eulàlia stands out.

Next, a guided itinerary will be carried out to discover the main medieval remains of the town, among which the medieval lock stands out, the point of origin of the old mill ditch.
