Montblanc celebrates Corpus Christi for another year!

It was the most popular and important festival in the surrounding area since the 14th century. All the local folkloric elements, brotherhoods, neighborhoods and authorities participated. A curiosity is the fact that in the past the procession was closed by the gravedigger or pit, in charge of keeping the hooded women who carried a rosary on their fingers at a distance.

Currently, it continues to be celebrated with the presence of the parishioners, of the children who celebrate communion that year, of the civil and ecclesiastical authorities and it is one of the opportunities to see the most representative folk elements of Montblanc (the eagle, the giants and the dwarves, the music band, the stick dance, the mulassa, the Torraires, etc.).
