Tribute to Pete Seeger in Benifallet
Benifallet pays tribute to Pete Seeger once again!
With the support and warm welcome of the Benifallet City Council, this meeting has been held since 2019, always on May 3 (the singer's date of birth) and consists of a boat ride on the Ebro and a small festival on the banks of the river, emulating what Seeger organized in the Hudson River to fight for its recovery and cleaning.
Musicians and activists from all over Catalonia participate, some of them pioneers in the dissemination of song as a tool for social transformation. The symbolic action of the river walk is completed with a popular lunch and a festival with the participation of all the musicians who have traveled to the town.
A whole day to celebrate and remember, but also to continue vindicating the values that Seeger fought for throughout his life.
