Migueletes Camp from the 18th century in Hostalric Castle

On the weekend of March 22 and 23, the Hostalric Fortress will become the setting for an authentic historical recreation camp of the War of Succession, with the participation of various groups: the Miquelets de Girona, the Montserratí Historical Recreation Association and the Historical Recreation Group of the Massa de Vilassar de Dalt.

January 1713: the Austrians surrender the fortress to the Bourbons. The militia of Roussillon, under the command of Colonel Bonaventure de Ortaffa, take control of the fortress to protect the main supply route for the army of the two crowns. Now is your chance to relive this historic moment!

Visit the camp and immerse yourself in the daily life of an 18th century soldier: observe military training and equipment, attend shooting practice, discover how weapons are maintained and the peculiarities of clothing. You will also be able to experience the everyday scenes of the period up close, from leisure activities to cooking during a siege. For a day, you will be part of the troops!

• General admission: €7 per person.
• Reduced rate: €5 per person (over 65s, children aged 7 to 18, Carnet Jove and people with reduced mobility).
• Free admission: children under 7 years old and members of the Super 3 Club.
