Our center is located in the Gràcia neighborhood of Barcelona. We have been open and dedicated to flotation for 24 years. We were the first flotation center to open in Spain, the first in Catalonia, and the first in Barcelona.

What is flotation?

Flotation is a therapy that simulates weightlessness, allowing the body to float effortlessly in a highly concentrated saltwater solution. The experience takes place in a flotation tank or sensory isolation chamber, designed to eliminate external stimuli such as light and sound, creating a state of deep physical and mental relaxation.

Benefits of flotation therapy

Flotarium Barcelona offers numerous benefits for body and mind:

  • Stress reduction: The feeling of floating and the absence of external distractions help reduce stress and anxiety. Floating is a powerful way to disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with yourself.
  • Improved sleep: Many guests report a noticeable improvement in sleep quality after their sessions. The Epsom salts promote relaxation, relieve inflammation, and restore balance to the nervous system.
  • Muscle and pain relief: Flotation helps reduce muscle tension, alleviate chronic pain, and speed up recovery after physical activity.

The Flotarium experience

Each session at Flotarium lasts approximately 50 minutes. Guests enjoy a private suite equipped with a flotation tub, shower, and changing area. Before the session, our team provides a short introduction and tips to make the most of your experience.

During your session, you can choose to keep a soft light on or float in complete darkness, listen to gentle music, or enjoy total silence. You don't need to bring anything — we provide towels, hairdryer, deodorant, and earplugs.

These tanks are also known as sensory isolation tanks because inside, you neither hear nor see nor feel anything — just the warm water. It's a moment of pure relaxation for your senses and a liberating experience for your mind.

Additional services

  • Chair massage: A quick, effective massage technique that helps release tension in specific areas of the body.
  • PSiO device: A light and sound therapy designed to promote relaxation and improve sleep quality.

How to book

To enjoy our services, advance booking is required. Reservations can be made easily through our official website, where you can also purchase multi-session packages or gift vouchers for others.

Most of our guests leave Flotarium feeling deeply relaxed, with a sense of calm that lasts all day — and at night, they sleep like a baby!

Come to Flotarium — relax, breathe, and float.
