Bellvei

Most of the district of Bellvei is flat and planted with vineyards belonging to the DO Penedès, although the southern quadrant climbs the foothills of the Cordillera Litoral and acts as a watchtower for the beaches of the Costa Daurada. The parish church of Santa Maria is the main heritage element of a municipality with a long history, as evidenced by a couple of vestiges of fortifications from the High Middle Ages, and with deep-rooted traditions such as the artisanal manufacture of chichoneras.
