This municipality is located in the westernmost part of Pla d'Urgell, very close to the Segrià region and only fourteen kilometers from Lleida. The construction of the auxiliary channel of Urgell about fifty years ago gave an economic boost to the town that saw how its population has been growing since then. It is a town with a notable commercial and restaurant offer, as well as an important network of associations, where numerous sports and social activities are organized.
