Moianès is a region located in the interior of Catalonia, known for its rural landscapes, natural surroundings and its historical and cultural wealth. This territory, surrounded by the regions of Bages, Osona and Vallès Oriental, offers a quiet and authentic experience, far from the masses of tourists, but full of heritage and nature.

The capital of Moianès, Moià, is a town full of history, with ancient streets and a charming main square. The Rafael Casanova House Museum, dedicated to the hero of the War of Succession, is a highlight. Moià also has the Basilica of Santa Maria and its historic centre, which retain the typical atmosphere of rural Catalan villages. Near Moià is the Cueva del Charco, one of the most important prehistoric caves in Europe, where remains of Quaternary fauna and traces of prehistoric human activity have been found.

The natural heritage of Moianès is one of its great attractions. The Moianès Routes offer options for hiking and nature lovers, with paths that cross oak and holm oak forests, cultivated fields and small valleys. The Gorgs de Moià, a series of waterfalls and natural pools, are a perfect place to cool off during the summer and enjoy the natural surroundings.

Moianès also has charming villages, such as Castellterçol, which preserves its medieval castle and is the birthplace of Prat de la Riba, one of the most important figures of Catalan politics. Collsuspina is another small town worth mentioning, known for its panoramic views and tranquillity.

The gastronomy of Moianès is rooted in local and nearby products. Artisanal sausages, cheeses and organic beef are some of the star products of the region. In addition, many restaurants in the area offer dishes based on traditional Catalan recipes with fresh and seasonal ingredients.

Stay here, explore the villages full of history, discover its natural landscapes and enjoy the gastronomy of Moianès, a region that preserves the rural essence and offers an authentic and relaxed experience.
