Gala Tarragona Drag

The Tarragona Drag Gala is one of the most anticipated experiences of the Tarragona Carnival!

A must-see Carnival event that has become, over the years, a true cultural and festive landmark in Catalonia. A unique experience that combines spectacle, creative freedom, and pure Carnival spirit.

Starting at 9:30 p.m., the Tarragona Theatre will host the best drag artists from the national and local scene, with performances full of humor, social commentary, glamour, and provocation. Drag queens, drag kings, and many other artistic expressions will take to the stage to demonstrate that, with makeup, wigs, heels, and plenty of personality, everything can shine a little brighter.

This competition has a pioneering history. In 2005, Tarragona dared to be the first city on the Iberian Peninsula, outside of the Canary Islands, to organize a drag queen contest, combining the exuberance of Carnival with the irreverence and freedom of the drag world. Since then, Tarragona Drag has grown to become one of the most popular and renowned events of Tarragona's Carnival.

With two decades of history, the competition is not only a spectacle, but also a celebration of diversity, creativity and transgression, in a city that experiences Carnival with intensity and pride.
