Festival of the Virgin of Pallerols in La Sénia

Every year, on the third Sunday of September, the town of La Sénia is transformed into a festival of color thanks to the ephemeral carpets made with dyed wood shavings and "caragolillo" (a type of snail), which adorn the streets for the passage of the procession.

The program will begin with an afternoon specially designed for children, featuring games, a bike circuit, face painting, and hot chocolate. Later, religious services and the singing of traditional hymns will take place, maintaining one of the most traditional aspects of the celebration.

Music will also play a prominent role with a traditional music concert, a proposal linked to the roots and sounds of the territory that will allow the party to continue until nightfall in a close and festive atmosphere.

The following day, the streets will be decorated to continue the celebration. In the afternoon, a sung Mass and a procession will take place, accompanied by various musical groups and local ensembles. At the end, a floral offering will be made to the Virgin of Pallerols, one of the most symbolic moments of the festival.

The celebration will be completed later with the traditional pilgrimage to the Pallerols hermitage, where a mass will be celebrated in honor of the patron saint.

The Pallerols Festival is thus a proposal that unites popular religiosity, music, family activities and street life, maintaining the essence of a celebration closely linked to the territory.
