Creixell Medieval Market

In the historic center of Creixell, a new edition of the Medieval Market will take place, coinciding with Easter!

The Medieval Market will run continuously from 10:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.. This event will be held along the main streets of the historic center of the town of Creixell.

Throughout the weekend, visitors will find craft stalls and food products, demonstrations of traditional trades, spaces and activities for children, as well as traveling shows that will move through the town streets and help recreate the medieval atmosphere.

Coinciding with the Easter holidays, this initiative is a great opportunity to stroll through the old town of Creixell, discover artisan products and enjoy an activity that, year after year, has become a great success in terms of participation and number of visitors.

The recreation of the current Medieval Market of Creixell is based on a key historical moment in the town's history. In 1083, King Philip of France appointed Artal Gilmundo as Lord of Creixell. He was the first inhabitant of Creixell for whom documented evidence exists. The King of France entrusted Artal Gilmundo with the proper creation of Creixell. Based on this medieval past, the municipal tourism department aims to recreate this historic period of the town.

It is one of the most important events in the town from a tourist and commercial perspective, and every edition has attracted more than 4,000 visitors.
