Creixell Medieval Market

A new edition of the Medieval Market will take place in the historic center of Creixell, coinciding with Holy Week!

The Medieval Market hours will be uninterrupted from 10:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. This event will take place through the main streets of the historic center of Villa de Creixell.

There will be a parade, a demonstration of traditional crafts, various medieval attractions, craft stops, a tavern, juggling, a workshop and a demonstration of medieval instruments. During the two days of the medieval market there will be traditional games, children's attractions and a restaurant area.

The recreation of the current Creixell Medieval Market is based on a historical and key moment in the town. In 1083, King Philip of France appointed Carlá de Creixell to Artal Gilmundo. It was the first crescent that we have documented news of. The King of France commissioned Artal Gilmundo to create Creixell itself. And based on the medieval past of Creixell, the town hall's tourism area wants to recreate precisely this medieval past of the Vila.

It is one of the most important events in the town, from a tourist and commercial point of view, which in all editions has always had more than 4,000 visitors per edition.
