Animac, International Animation Film Festival in Lleida

Animac is the International Animation Film Festival of Catalonia, organized and produced by the Lleida City Council and the Generalitat of Catalonia. Over the years, Animac has consolidated its independent and artistic character.

The Exhibition was created in 1996 and throughout history it has become one of the best-known audiovisual events held in Spain, with importance and prestige at an international level.

Today Animac is a rigorous, yet dynamic and welcoming exhibition, which continues in its efforts to improve, generating new audiences and attracting all those who love animation.

Animac is a non-competitive exhibition that is aimed at those artists who use animation as an instrument for their personal expression. Beyond the limits of traditional narrative, we look for visionaries who make independent and risky works that have strength and push their expressive potential to the limit.

Latin American animation is the common thread of the 27th International Animated Film Festival of Catalonia, which is held in Lleida from February 23 to 26 and online from March 3 to 12.

Lleida hosts the best animated cinema with monographic sessions and retrospectives, as well as a careful selection of recently created short and feature films from around the world, exhibitions, conferences and master classes for animation lovers.
