4 Days – Lavender fields, Provence from Avignon.

Day 1. - PLACE OF ORIGIN – AVIGNON

Departure by coach to France. Stop for breakfast (not included) and continuation of the trip to reach Avignon. Lunch. In the afternoon we will visit the Avignon Bridge and take an audio-guided visit to the Palace of the Popes, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, a symbol of the splendor of the church in the Christian West of the 14th century. The monument is the largest and most important Gothic palace in the world (with a base of 15,000 m2, the volume of 4 Gothic cathedrals), a visit to more than twenty places that were the scene of important events with universal repercussions, especially the private apartments of the Pope and its fabulous fresco decorations. Transfer to the hotel located in the surroundings of Avignon. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 2. - LAVENDER MUSEUM - ROUSSILLON - LAVENDER MUSEUM - SENANQUE ABBEY

Breakfast. We will dedicate the day to visiting emblematic corners of Provence. We will move to the town of Roussillon, a medieval okra-colored town in the middle of a red mountain reminiscent of the Colorado Canyon. Here we will take a surprising walking tour of the so-called Sentiers des Ocres with stunning views of the Luberon massif. In the town of Coustellet we will visit the Lavender Museum (entrance included) where we will be able to learn in-depth about the history, uses and traditions related to this crop and the production of products derived from this famous plant. In the store we can purchase several products with recognized therapeutic, anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. Lunch. In the afternoon, we will visit the Sénanque Abbey, the undisputed jewel of Provence, which offers one of the best-known images during the flowering of the lavender fields that surround it. Return to hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 3. - LAVENDER FIELDS IN THE PLANURIA OF VALENSOLE – RIEZ

Breakfast. This morning we will head towards the beautiful Valensole plain, the most famous, emblematic and charming place in Provence where we will be able to contemplate the lavender plantations that bloom spectacularly at this time. Lunch in restaurant. Next we will visit the charming city of Riez. This small town has preserved a notable heritage, especially from its Roman past, as evidenced by the vestiges of an early Christian temple and baptistery, the fortified gates, the walls, the timetable tower and the old houses of the historic town, along with the majestic Renaissance Palace of Mazan. After this day full of history and beauty, we will return to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 4.- LAS BAUX DE PROVENCE (Carreras de Lumieres Caves) – PLACE OF ORIGIN

Breakfast. Departure to the town of Les Baux-de-Provence where we will take an exciting tour of this picturesque Provençal town crowned by its historic castle (entrance included) that has witnessed centuries of splendor and now allows us to explore its fascinating ruins. From the top of the mountain, we will contemplate the impressive panoramic views of the valley and the surrounding mountains, immersing ourselves in the unique atmosphere of this ancient fortress captivated by the legends that surround its walls. An unforgettable experience that will transport us through time and leave a deep feeling of admiration for the historical heritage of the region. Next we will visit the fantastic Races of Lights (entrance included), dazzling ones where, on their walls, we can admire through an impressive montage of lights, the works of the outstanding French painters of the 19th century, Delacroix, Gérôme and Ingreso, and alternatively, representations of Egypt where the grandeur of this ancient culture will be recreated. Lunch in a restaurant and return to our place of origin.
