2 days - The Yellow Train of Cerdanya with Viajes Apolo

In 1659, the northern counties of Catalonia (Roussillon, Vallespir, Conflent, Capcir and part of Cerdanya) fell under the authority of the king of France. From that moment on, the line of separation between France and Catalonia no longer passes through the Corberas, but through the Pyrenees. Louis

Day 1 - PLACE OF ORIGIN - CASTELLÓN DE EMPURIAS - COLLIOURE - EMPURIABRAVA.

Departure in the morning towards the north of Catalonia. Stop en route for breakfast (not included). Continuation of the trip to reach Castelló d'Empúries where we will take a walk entering its alleys and immersing ourselves in the Middle Ages to see its beautiful Gothic church of Santa Maria, known as the Empordà cathedral. Transfer to the hotel and lunch. In the afternoon we will move to Collioure, a picturesque town on the French coast presided over by an imposing Medieval Castle and its Church Lighthouse located next to the sea. A place of inspiration for famous painters and the exile residence of Antonio Machado, we can explore its high alleys with countless corners that will undoubtedly leave you with an everlasting memory. We will have free time to explore its lively streets with a bohemian and medieval air. Back to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 2 - EMPURIABRAVA - CERDANYA YELLOW TRAIN - PLACE OF ORIGIN.

Breakfast. Departure to enter the French Cerdanya to reach the Medieval Village of Villefranche de Conflent, where we can walk the cobblestone streets of this beautiful walled town that was part of the old Catalan border. Lunch in restaurant. In the afternoon we will begin a spectacular journey on the mythical Cerdanya Yellow Train between Villefranche de Conflent and Mont-Lluis. A panoramic ride that crosses majestic mountains and bridges. After the visit we will return to our place of origin.
