Templar and Hospitaller Route of l'Espluga de Francolí

Discover l'Espluga de Francolí with a tour of the town's old town!

Several audiovisuals will transport you to the daily life of lords, peasants, Jews and artisans, showing what life was like in a village in the 14th century.

You'll stop at the Old Church and the former hospital for the poor, enjoy a virtual recreation of the castle that once towered over the town, and learn about the origins and demise of the military orders of the Templars and Hospitallers. Through hologram projections, you'll also experience the ritual of a purifying bath in a Jewish miqveh, the activities of a glassmaker's workshop, and the process of creating stained-glass windows.

The route, always accompanied by a guide, incorporates augmented virtual reality technology with glasses and a mobile device included.
