Medinyà Story Fair 2024

A new edition of the Medinyà Story Fair is back!

The Medinyà Story Fair (Sant Julià de Ramis) is a space dedicated to the world of stories and a meeting point for all those people (children, young people and adults) who love and value this artistic-literary genre.

The Fair was born in 2010 as a result of the impulse of a group of young people who were looking for an identifying event for the town. The result was the creation of an unprecedented and stimulating fair that would have the story as the protagonist.

The original idea came, in fact, from a resident of the town, Joan Bahí, inspired by a report on Hans Christian Andersen's personal diary according to which the Danish author, on his way to Barcelona (in 1862), would have had to stop in Medinyà surprised by heavy downpours.

The small nucleus of the town is filled with color, imagery, awnings, banners, figures, murals..., story setting. Each edition there is a corner, a painting, a figure, a mural, a work that decorates facades, corners and stages. Scenarios that host storytellers, puppets, family theatre, children's literature exhibitions or very personalized and close presentations in nearby and well-accommodated corners.
