The boundary cross, located in the Els Penjats area, dates from the 14th and 15th centuries, during the Hospitaller period. It is a Gothic-style stone cross, consisting of a square base with two steps, the upper one with chamfered corners. It has a narrow shaft that ends in a capital decorated with small heraldic shields that, to date, have not been identified.

In ancient times, this cross symbolized the judicial and criminal power of the Commander of the Vallfogona de Riucorb Commandery and the territories under his jurisdiction. This area had been conquered at the beginning of the 12th century, and the cross became a representative symbol of the authority of that era.

Today, remnants of this ancient cross can still be found very close to its original location. They stand beside two holm oaks at the end of the path leading from the village to the blacksmith's threshing floor. This heritage site bears witness to the area's medieval past and history.
