Torredembarra

Torredembarra is located in a privileged point, 12 km from Tarragona and 80 km from Barcelona and close to many tourist attractions of the Costa Dorada. The municipality is formed by several population centers and has an extension of 857.8 hectares. The population has experienced great growth in recent years and currently has 15,000 registered inhabitants.

Torredembarra has been a peasant and sailor town since medieval times and a sample of its duality is reflected in its gastronomic offer. The recreational possibilities that can be carried out in the municipality are diverse: nautical activities, cultural visits, natural routes, commercial areas...

Over time, Torredembarra has established itself as a prominent summer resort especially family type.

Family Tourism

From its enclave in the heart of the Costa Dorada, Torredembarra brings together enough landscape, cultural and artistic attractions to be, in itself, the ideal destination to enjoy a vacation: the sun, its strip of sea, in the Castle of the Icart (S. XVI), the Torre de la Vila (S. XII), the church of Sant Pere (sXVII), the Antoni Roig building (19th century), the lighthouse, the fish market, the Los Muntanyans Natural Beach, the Roquer...

In addition to that, the Tourist Board of Torredembarra is working conscientiously to complete the tourist offer of the municipality with an extensive agenda of activities aimed at family tourism, which is joined by the creation of a new brand of Torredembarra as a means of promotion and the edition of complete guides of the municipality and its services, designed to facilitate the traveler's stay and enjoyment in the area.

In its commitment to quality family tourism in the Board of Trustees, together with the Department of Environment, more than 12 marked routes have been defined for walking or cycling in the municipality, and prepare a complete guide of activities for the months of July and August, ranging from sports and gymnastics in workshops and children's entertainment programs, gastronomic shows or summer film sessions.
