Tornabous
We present the municipality of Tornabous, which sits in the flat area of the Urgell region. Tornabous is the head of the municipality and the term includes the aggregates of the Guardia de Urgell and Tarròs.
The Urgell canal, built between 1852 and 1862, transformed dry lands into large irrigated areas that generate an organized and modern production of corn, wheat, alfalfa and fruit trees.
In its landscape the green tone predominates, fruit of the great variety of fruit trees that the municipality has. This municipality enjoys a great cultural, landscape, agricultural and architectural heritage. Land of birth of such illustrious characters as President Lluís Companys and Salvador Seguí, the Noi del Sucre.
In Tornabous you can visit the Iberian city of Molino de Alhucema and in El Tarròs there is the Espai Companys, dedicated to the former president of the Generalitat Lluís Companys.
