Walking Routes through Tiurana
Within the Tiuranatura project we find the Walking Routes, which are routes to discover nature (wild plants, wild animals and the waters of the Rialb reservoir) and heritage (Romanesque hermitages, oratory pillar of San Sebastián and remains of the Civil War) doing physical activity either trail running or healthy walks. We have 4 types of routes:
- Hiking routes (100% roads and trails).
- Family routes: very short routes without going too far from the town, to begin introducing the littlest members of the family to nature.
- Tourist routes: routes to visit emblematic places that are outside the town of Tiurana, such as the Romanesque hermitage of Sant Ermengol or the oratory pillar of Sant Sebastià, as well as sections of the Sant Jaume path as it passes through the Mig Segre.
- And the Healthy Walks, mostly asphalt routes and some sections of roads to be done without any difficulty. They are more detailed below:
Healthy Walks (CS) are routes designed to be offered to a wider audience: older people, people who do not practice sports, people with some mobility difficulties... These itineraries run on surfaces without technical difficulties of asphalt and paths. Currently, we have the descriptive sheet and the track to follow the following routes with your application:
CS1 - Era of les Bruixes and Sant Ermengol
Healthy Walk arriving next to the water of the reservoir to the Era de las Bruixes, and then seeing a very good view from the viewpoint of the Sant Ermengol hermitage. Depending on the time of year, we can cool off in the water or enjoy a beautiful sunset in the evening twilight.
CS2 - Walk of the 4 coasts
On this Healthy Walk we will go to the hermitage of Sant Ermengol and go down to the Era de les Bruixes. From here, we will discover the 4 coasts next to the reservoir: Moles, Drecera, Solés and Rocafort. With the latter we will climb back to Tiurana.
CS3 - Perotillo Dolmen
This Walk, all on asphalt, allows us to enjoy the landscape and visit the Perotillo de Bassella Dolmen. In addition, we will also see the perspective of the northern part of the reservoir, with the spectacular view of the town of La Clua surrounded by water.
