Talarn
he town of Talarn, which belongs to the Pallars Jussà region, occupies the middle basin of the Noguera Pallaresa, straddling the high peaks of the Pyrenees and the Montsec mountain range. To the south, adjacent to central Catalonia and the region of La Noguera.
The municipality of Talarn extends mainly to the right of the Noguera Pallaresa, surrounding the town of Tremp, which is believed to have originated in a territory initially integrated into Talarn.
The municipality includes, in addition to the town of Talarn, the hamlet of Nerets, the old deserted town of Castelló d'Enclús and the Basic General Academy of NCOs.
The streets retain the appearance of the 17th century, the most splendid moment of the town, with some noble houses, among which the Baron of Eroles stands out.
From 1911 to 1916 the Sant Antoni reservoir and the Talarn hydroelectric power station were built.
