Soses
The municipality of Soses, raised about 119 meters above sea level, has an area of 30.3 km² and is located on the western edge of the Segrià region, 13 km from Lleida down the banks of the Segre River, next to of Aragonese lands.
The municipality of Fraga, to the west, that of Torres de Segre, to the east, that of Alcarràs to the north, and that of Aitona, to the south, confronts that of Soses, which includes the town, head of the municipality.
It is made up of two different forms of relief: on the one hand, in the eastern part, the fertile alluvial area of the river and the Segrià plain, watered by the Remolins irrigation canal, extends, and on the rest the platform area extends sectioned into plains and hills that separate the basins of the Segre and the Cinca (Sierra Pedegrosa), irrigated by ditches derived from the Aragón and Cataluña canal and numerous private reservoirs.
