Sant Andreu de Llavaneres is a municipality with an area of 11.8 km² that combines a great maritime tradition with a rich cultural and architectural heritage. Its geographical location, between the Mediterranean Sea and the mountains, means that it offers a wide variety of landscapes and activities.

It borders to the north with the municipality of Tiana, to the south with the Mediterranean Sea, to the east with the municipality of Mataró and to the west with the municipality of Vilassar de Mar.

The natural environment of Sant Andreu de Llavaneres is very varied, with a mild Mediterranean climate that favours tourism throughout the year. The municipality has a wide range of leisure and sporting activities, highlighting its marina, ideal for lovers of sailing and the maritime world.

History

Sant Andreu de Llavaneres has ancient roots dating back to Roman times, although the town began to gain great importance in the Middle Ages and, above all, from the 19th and 20th centuries, when it became industrialised and became a popular coastal tourism destination. The town was influenced by the bourgeois families who spent their summers in the town, leaving behind an important architectural heritage.

Its old town preserves the essence of a fishing and farming village with narrow streets and quiet squares, although urban development has transformed part of the territory, especially the coastal area.

One of the most emblematic points of the municipality is its marina, which has been an important economic driver for the town. This modern port offers multiple nautical services, such as moorings, sailing clubs and water activities. The modern facilities and the beauty of the coastal landscape make this place an ideal destination for sea lovers.

Ca l'Alfaro

From the old summer house of Ca l'Alfaro, a modernist building, you can enjoy panoramic views of Sant Andreu de Llavaneres and its surroundings. From here you can access the Can Cassany tower, one of the best viewing points in the town, which offers a spectacular view of the Mediterranean Sea and its surroundings.
