Sant Andreu de Llavaneres
Sant Andreu de Llavaneres is a municipality with an area of 11.8 km² that combines a great maritime tradition with a rich cultural and architectural heritage. It borders to the north with the municipality of Tiana, to the south with the Mediterranean Sea, to the east with the municipality of Mataró and to the west with the municipality of Vilassar de Mar.

History
Sant Andreu de Llavaneres has ancient roots dating back to Roman times, although the town began to gain great importance in the Middle Ages and, above all, from the 19th and 20th centuries, when it became industrialised and became a popular coastal tourism destination. The town was influenced by the bourgeois families who spent their summers in the town, leaving behind an important architectural heritage.
Its old town preserves the essence of a fishing and farming village with narrow streets and quiet squares, although urban development has transformed part of the territory, especially the coastal area.
