Roussillon is located on the northern slope of the Segrià, located in the plain, shortly before the confluence of the Noguera Ribagorçana with the Segre. The town is in the right sector of the Pinyana canal.

It borders to the North with the municipality of Vilanova del Segrià; to the South with Torrefarrera; direction East with the same term of the last town indicated and that of Benavent de Segrià while to the West, it does so with the term of Malpartit.
