Riumors is part of the Alt Empordà region, province of Gerona. The municipal term has an extension of 6 km2 and 7 m. of altitude.
The limits of the municipal area are to the north with Fortià, to the east with Castelló d'Empúries and Sant Pere Pescador, to the south with Vilamacolum and Siurana and to the west with El Far d'Empordà.
