Quart
Located in the southeast of Girona on the right bank of the River Onyar, the municipality of Quart occupies an area of 38 km² and has more than 3,500 inhabitants. It is made up of 6 neighborhoods. Its name comes from the Latin name " Quartum ", which refers to a measure of distance. It is elevated on a hill surrounded by a river and presided over by the parish church of Santa Margarida. The symbol of the town is the mud, specifically, the black mud of Quart, and for this reason in the town you can visit the Mud Museum of Quart.
They celebrate the Antique and Collectible Toy Fair. You must visit the churches of Santa Margarita de Quart and San Sadurní de Palol de Onyar, near the castle. It is advisable to enter the Gavarres to visit the churches and lonely places of Sant Martí del Castellar, Sant Mateu de Montnegre and Santa Maria de Montnegre.
