Puigverd d'Agramunt
The municipality of Puigverd is located in the northern part of the Urgell region and borders the La Noguera region. The town rises on a hill on the banks of the Sió River, at an altitude of 336 m. The term extends from north to south divided by the Sierra de Almenara.

The beautiful view from the village, enhanced by the church and castle buildings, is striking and invites a visit. It was a castral town, governed by the castle.
The population was formed with a rounded plant. Currently the streets surround the castle, the church and the square with slight slopes and zigzag layouts to bridge the gap to the river.
The town has been growing around the primitive nucleus. Most of the population is dedicated to agriculture, with rainfed and irrigated crops – irrigated by the Urgell canal – and pig and sheep farming. In the forest sector there are holm oaks and oaks.
