Preixana
Preixana, an old walled town, descends along the southern slope of the Sitjar hill and borders Bellpuig, Vilagrassa,Sant Martí de Riucorb and Belianes. The town is linked to Bellpuig by a 3 km road, which is the main access road to Preixana, and with Tàrrega by a 10 km road. Other local roads join Sant Martí and Vilagrassa.
Old walled town located 3 km from Bellpuig. The Urgell channel partially waters its term. Corn, fruit, and vegetables are grown on irrigated land; in the dry land, barley, wheat, almond trees, olive trees and vines. Today the economic activity is complemented by cattle and poultry farms.
Formerly it was a town well known for its quarries, even today there is an important collection of discoid funerary steles found in the cemetery and made by the stonemasons who were in the town.
The town has a sports hall, swimming pools and a soccer field.
