Parlavà
The municipality of Parlavà extends along the floodplain of the Ter and Daró rivers, although its western part is made up of small hills, the highest of which is the Montori. Parlavà is the head of the municipality, but the term also includes the town of Fonolleres and the neighborhoods of La Rutlla and Matabou.
The town of Parlavà does not have a very clear urban structure: only in the vicinity of the church is there a group of buildings distributed in narrow and short alleys, which seem to indicate an old walled enclosure of which there are no traces. Outside this nucleus, the town extends towards the east and north in small, poorly defined neighbourhoods.
The parish church is consecrated to Sant Feliu and has a Romanesque floor plan, although it was altered by a fortification work and several subsequent reforms.
The town of Fonolleres is located about 2 km from Parlavà, on the plain. Its population center is concentrated around the church, which was consecrated to San Cristóbal and is late Gothic in style, with a single nave and a polygonal apse inside and a semicircular apse outside, on which stands a tower. of fortification.
