HISTORY
Ordis is named in the year 1020 with the name: Ordeos.
During the modern era (15th - 18th centuries), the place of Ordis was part, with Navata and Espinavessa, of the barony of Navata, which depended on the Viscount of Rocabertí and Count of Peralada, feudal lord of the region.
The heads of the house of Ordis formed the university, understood as a group of neighbors who lived in the place, in the sense of universality. This collective organization of the population of Ordis was maintained until Philip V's troops put an end to the Catalan institutions.
