Visit the Cal Puigjaner Cultural Center
Cal Puigjaner is an old manor house documented since 1548, although the architectural complex was completely renovated in the 19th century. On the main façade, the voussoir portal of the original building and a small chapel with the image of Sant Pere stand out.
The winery is a construction from the early 18th century, with the typical Catalan vault, which was made to absorb the growing and prosperous wine and spirits production industry.
On March 11, 2023, it was inaugurated as the Cal Puigjaner Cultural Center, with Espacio Montserrat and Espacio Celler as the main spaces. In addition, also, to Espacio Pati and Espacio Cups.
The permanent exhibition "Terra i Ànima" is dedicated to Montserratí, with a section on the Montserrat Rural Park. The material displayed in the showcases and pedestals has various origins. Of course, all of it is municipal property or guardianship, but it has come through donations from neighbors and institutions (materials from the Muntanyenc Center and Recerques Olesà and the UEC of Olesa), transfers (the "Olesa stone") and historic municipal properties (the old mayor's staff and the old mace of the municipality from the 17th century).
The Espai Celler is a multipurpose room that offers the possibility of hosting a wide range of activities, as well as an exhibition hall.
