Les Valls d'Aguilar
Les Valls d'Aguilar is a municipality in the comarca of Alt Urgell from 1972 consists of the union of fourteen entities, among which are: Noves de Segre and sang Castellàs of which are larger entities and others like Taús and the Guardia d'Ares which are smaller entities. So are Trejuvell, Els Castells, Espaén, Junyent, Miravall, Beren, Biscarbó, Argestues, Bellpui and Anyus.
The municipality of Les Valls d'Aguilar is located to the right of the river Segre and, in turn, limits the Gavarret ravine, making the culd border. It is crossed almost all the coasts of the Rio de la Guardia and Pallerols. Most of the territory is rugged terrain, except Taús plain extending to an altitude of 1,500 meters.
The Romanesque of this area is characterized by the simplicity of its lines and austere forms. They show churches Trejuvell Saint Helena, Saint Esteve of Guardia, Taús Sant Marti, Sant Bartomeu in Malgrat, Sant Martí de Beren, the Conception of Miravall and Santa Llogaia of Bellpui. The first three are part of the Via Romanesque Catalan Romanesque border route. The church of Sant Lluc d'Anyús is Romanesque style.
Noves de Segre
It was a fortified town, hitching the houses to make wall of the town, which even today can be glimpsed. The square is found in the top of the village, where the city of Les Valls d'Aguilar. And, midway between the oldest buildings and the newest is where the church of Sant Serni.
You can also visit the Moli's Piques or Cal guix Forn de Jou, just so that we can see and enjoy the Castellot de Noves or most characteristic trees of the municipality: Roure of Capdevila (oak) or Cal Perer Bernadí (pear).
Castellàs of Sang
The most prominent feature of this core is the modern era fortified village of Cal Cervós, located in the center of town, in front of which is the church of Santa Maria.
Near here we also find Cervós Mill and Bridge Castellàs.
Taús
It is built around the remains of the ancient castle of Taús, which on record since 1094, when the family owned Taús, which in mid-twelfth century is to bring the family Caboet.
About Taús you can visit different churches and the remains of that castle, but we can not forget the Taús Masia, the Clots of trumfos of them Taús Mates or the farmhouse Noguer Taús (walnut).
La Guardia d'Ares
Walled town situated on the top of the mountain where the remains of the castle and the church of Sant Esteve. We have data since 1004, but probably had been there longer, because its location is an important junction between the Pallars and Segre valley.
Trejuvell
It is one of the entities that comprise Les Valls d'Aguilar, where there are a number of houses with poor condition. Although its medieval past, in which Roger IV of Foix acquired all rights to the castle which was located in his term.
Els Castells
As its name suggests, this center is named after the castle was situated on top of a hill where it is located. Currently, there are only a few remnants of it damaged by recent influences. It was part of Taús spot until they were acquired by the family Castellbo.
