Les Avellanes and Santa Linya is a large municipality located between the valley and the first mountains of the Pre-Pyrenees. It is a term with four population centers: Les Avellanes, Santa Linya, Tartareu and Vilanova de la Sal. They are four small towns but have great heritage value with a very characteristic rustic atmosphere.
The town hall is located in the main nucleus, that of Les Avellanes, better communicated thanks to the C-12. It is a modern building, with three floors, located at the edge of the village.
The entire municipality is full of religious temples with magnificent examples of Catalan Romanesque style. Highlights, for example, the hermitage of Sant Miquel, in Tartareu. Also the church of Santa Maria in Les Avellanes. The natural environment is also unbeatable, with places of great beauty such as the Balconcito de Santa Linya, the surroundings of the Camarasa reservoir and the Gran cave. There are some archaeological sites of great value.
