La Torre de Capdella

La Vall Fosca is located to the north of the Pallars Jussà region, in the province of Lleida. The municipality of Torre de Capdella is made up of 19 villages: Pobleta de Bellveí, Estavill, Envall, Antist, Castillo-Estaón, Beranui, Plana de Mont-rós, Astell, Oveix, Aguiró, Paüls, Pobellà, Mont-rós, Mills, the Capdella Tower, Aiguabella, Espui and the Capdella and Capdella Central.

The Tower of Capdella is the administrative center of the Vall Fosca. The population arises from between the Sierra de los Cubilares and the rock of the South.

At 800 m we find   the Romanesque hermitage of Sant Martí , declared a Cultural Asset of National Interest by the Generalitat de Catalunya. Currently only a tower with a decorated apse remains. From the Torre de Capdella there are several paths to Mont-ros, Molinos and the Astell water room.

Events are held in Vall Fosca throughout the year, among which the Open Vall Fosca international ski mountaineering tour, the La Cabanera mountain race, the Vall Fosca - Pyrenees Hiking Festival or the Pobleta de Bellveí Livestock Fair stand out.
