La Guingueta d'Àneu
La Guingueta de Àneu is a municipality in the Pallars Sobirà region. It is the result of the union of three old municipalities: Escaló, Jou and Unarre. The result has been a fairly large municipal area: 108.42 km².
The pointed and slender bell towers of the Romanesque churches rise up between the mountains that are home to the 14 small villages of the Guingueta de Àneu municipality. Visiting these villages, which preserve all the authenticity of the Pyrenees, is like traveling to the heart of postcard towns dotted with narrow streets, stone walls and slate roofs.
La Mollera de Escalarre, part of the Alt Pirineu Natural Park, is an oasis of peace and tranquility. Its crystal clear waters reflect the nearby mountains like a mirror and allow you to see the fish swimming there. A whole series of migratory birds also stop by these magnificent Pyrenean wetlands before continuing on their way.
